Subscription Terms

Effective Date: 7 May 2026 · Last Updated: 7 May 2026

These Subscription Terms describe the plans, billing model, renewal behaviour, and lifetime offer rules for Subnet Calc, operated by Subnet Calc Limited.

These terms supplement, and form part of, the Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service prevail. Cancellation and refund mechanics are described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

1. Plans

Subnet Calc offers a Free tier and a range of paid Plans. Current pricing is listed on the pricing page; the limits below are contractual and apply regardless of the price displayed at the time of purchase.

Individual15Individual network engineers
Small Team515Small teams and consultancies
Midsize Team1550Growing engineering organisations
Large Team50250Larger network and platform teams

“Team members” means the maximum number of active members in a Team workspace. “Saved projects” means the maximum number of Projects that can exist within a Team workspace at any one time.

Plan features (regions, replication, audit, support response targets) are described in the Service Level Agreement and on the pricing page.

2. Billing Cycle

  • (a) All paid Plans are billed annually in advance in a single upfront payment.
  • (b) Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service.
  • (c) Prices are shown in your local currency where supported via Stripe Adaptive Pricing. Applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST is calculated and collected by Stripe Tax based on your billing address.
  • (d) Your subscription start date is the date your first payment is successfully captured. Your renewal date is the anniversary of that date.

3. Auto-Renewal

  • (a) Paid Plans renew automatically at the end of each annual billing period, on the renewal date, using the payment method on file.
  • (b) We send a renewal receipt by email after each successful renewal.
  • (c) You may turn off auto-renewal at any time from Account Settings → Subscription. Turning off auto-renewal is treated as a cancellation effective at the end of the current billing period (see Refund & Cancellation Policy §1).
  • (d) Lifetime Subscriptions (section 5) do not renew and are not charged on a recurring basis.

4. Price Changes

  • (a) We may change the price of any Plan from time to time.
  • (b) Where a price change affects your Plan, we will give you at least thirty (30) days’ written notice by email to the address on your Account before the new price takes effect.
  • (c) The new price applies from your next renewal date following the notice period. Your current billing period is not affected.
  • (d) If you do not wish to pay the new price you may cancel your Subscription, or turn off auto-renewal, at any time before the renewal date and no increased charge will be applied.

5. Lifetime Offer

From time to time we offer a one-time Lifetime Subscription for selected Plans. Lifetime Subscriptions are subject to the following terms:

  • (a) Total cap. A combined maximum of 250 Lifetime Subscriptions is available across all Lifetime offers (all tiers combined). Once 250 Lifetime Subscriptions have been claimed in total, no further Lifetime Subscriptions will be sold.
  • (b) First-come, first-served. Lifetime Subscriptions are issued in the order in which valid payments are received and confirmed by Stripe.
  • (c) Per-tier availability. Lifetime offers may be made available for some Plans and not others. The pricing page shows which Lifetime offers are currently available and how many of the 250 total spots remain.
  • (d) One-time payment. A Lifetime Subscription is a single upfront payment, not a recurring charge.
  • (e) Duration. A Lifetime Subscription provides access for the lifetime of the Service. If we discontinue the Service, the Termination provisions of the Terms of Service and our notice obligations under that agreement apply.
  • (f) Non-refundable. Lifetime Subscriptions are non-refundable except (i) during any statutory cooling-off period that applies to you and (ii) in cases of documented billing error. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy §3.
  • (g) No upgrade or downgrade. A Lifetime Subscription is tied to a specific Plan and cannot be upgraded or downgraded. To change Plans you must purchase a separate Subscription on the desired Plan.
  • (h) No transfer. Lifetime Subscriptions are tied to the Team workspace on which they were purchased and cannot be transferred to another Team or sold to a third party.

6. Payment Failures

If a scheduled renewal payment fails:

  • (a) Stripe will automatically retry the payment, typically up to four attempts over three to four weeks, using its standard Smart Retries schedule.
  • (b) We will send you an email notification for each failed attempt so you can update your payment method.
  • (c) If all retry attempts fail, your Subscription is automatically cancelled at the end of the retry window and the post-cancellation terms in the Refund & Cancellation Policy §1.3 apply: your Team reverts to the Free tier and your Projects enter a 12-month read-only grace period.
  • (d) You may resubscribe at any time. Resubscribing during the read-only period restores full access to your existing Projects immediately.

7. Downgrades and Upgrades

  • (a) Upgrades take effect immediately on payment. The new Plan’s limits apply from that point. Stripe issues a pro-rata adjustment reflecting the unused portion of your previous Plan.
  • (b) You may only initiate a downgrade once your current team size and project count are within the limits of the target Plan. If you exceed the target Plan’s limits, you must first remove members or delete Projects until you are within the new limits, then complete the downgrade.
  • (c) Downgrades take effect immediately on confirmation. Your Account moves to the lower Plan’s limits straight away. Stripe issues a prorated credit to your Stripe customer balance for the unused portion of the higher Plan. This credit is automatically applied against your future invoices on the Service (for example, the next annual renewal). It is not refunded to your original payment method.

8. Cancellation

You may cancel your Subscription at any time. Cancellation mechanics, the 12-month read-only grace period, and refund eligibility are described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Subscription Terms from time to time. Where a change materially affects your rights or obligations we will give you reasonable advance notice by email or in-product notification before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
